DIY GoPro Camera Rig: Double-Handle Tray Mount

In this week’s DIY GoPro post, you’ll learn how to make a GoPro camera rig with a double-handle tray mount.

Using a camera rig will create steadier video shots. And the top bar of this rig can be used to mount a light, mic, or another camera.

To make this mount, you’ll need:

  • Aluminum Flatbar 20x3mm Length = 260mm
  • M6 threaded rod Length = 145mm
  • M6 nut (4 pcs)
  • M12 nut (4 Pcs)
  • M6 nyloc nut (4 pcs)
  • 1/4″ bolt + washer
  • GoPro tripod mount
  • Bicycle grips (like these on Amazon.com | Amazon.ca | Amazon.co.uk)

Where Will You Use The GoPro Camera Rig?

This is great for both on land and as an underwater rig. In fact, it can also be used as a DSLR rig as well. It should cost well under $20 to make and will give you much steadier shots.
